We build software for people who run laboratories
Diagnosuya started in 2018 because the software available to Indian labs was either expensive enough to be out of reach or bad enough to be a liability. We thought there was room for something in between.

The problem was never the technology
In 2018 one of us was helping a friend's pathology lab in Bengaluru sort out its billing. The lab had two technicians, saw about forty patients a day, and kept everything in a spreadsheet that had grown organically over four years. One afternoon it stopped opening. A week of billing went with it.
The interesting part was what happened next. We looked at the lab software available to them, and it fell into two groups. The capable products were priced for hospitals and took months to implement. The affordable products were, frankly, worse than the spreadsheet — slow, ugly, and built as though nobody involved had watched a lab work.
What was missing was something a technologist could learn in a morning, that a pathologist would trust enough to sign, that an owner could read the numbers out of, and that a forty-patient lab could actually afford. That gap is the entire reason this company exists.
Eight years on, around 2,400 laboratories run on Diagnosuya. Some are single rooms with one technologist. Some are chains with a dozen branches. What they have in common is that the software is supposed to disappear into the work rather than becoming part of it.
Four things we have committed to
These are not aspirations on a wall. Each one costs us something, which is how you can tell we mean them.
Built with labs, not at them
Every feature on this site exists because a laboratory asked for it. We spend more time on the phone with customers than in planning meetings, and the roadmap reflects that.
No lock-in, ever
You can export everything you have, whenever you want, at no charge. If you leave, we hand over a full copy and delete ours. Software should be kept because it is good, not because leaving is painful.
Honest about fit
We tell labs when we are not the right choice, and our comparison pages say plainly where alternatives win. A customer who should not have bought is worse for us than one we turned away.
Support is not a cost centre
Onboarding, migration, training and support are included on every plan, including the cheapest. We would rather earn the renewal than charge for the joining.
How we got here
- 182018
A corrupted spreadsheet
We watched a two-technician lab in Bengaluru lose an afternoon — and a week of billing records — to a spreadsheet that would not open. The software meant to help was getting in the way.
- 192019
First fifty labs
We built the first version with four labs who agreed to tell us honestly what was wrong with it. Most of what they said is still shaping the product.
- 212021
Reports go digital
WhatsApp and SMS delivery, built during a period when nobody wanted to come to a counter to collect a piece of paper. It stopped being a convenience and became the default.
- 232023
Radiology and multi-branch
Diagnostic centres running pathology and imaging together needed one patient record, and growing chains needed branch-level control. Both arrived that year.
- 262026
Around 2,400 labs
From single-room collection centres to chains with a dozen branches, across twenty-one states and a handful of countries. We still take support calls ourselves.
Lab people and software people, in roughly equal measure
About half our team have worked in or around laboratories — medical laboratory technologists, a pathologist, people who have run a collection centre. That is deliberate.
It means that when you call support, the person answering knows what a TAT is, why a critical potassium matters, and what happens at a lab counter at nine in the morning. You will not be explaining your job before you can describe your problem.
It also means the people deciding what to build have stood behind a counter. Most of our worst ideas have been killed by someone on the team saying, plainly, that no lab would ever do that.
