FAQ

WhatsApp, SMS & email reports — common questions

Do we need our own WhatsApp Business account?
For delivery from your own lab number, yes — and we will walk you through setting it up during onboarding. Labs that would rather not run their own number can send through our shared sender instead, which works immediately but shows a Diagnosuya-registered sender rather than your lab name.
What do SMS messages cost?
SMS is charged at 20 paise per credit, billed against a prepaid balance you top up when you choose. WhatsApp and email delivery carry no per-message charge from us. Most labs find WhatsApp covers the large majority of patients and SMS is a fallback.
Is it safe to send reports over WhatsApp?
We send a secure link rather than an attachment by default, so the report itself is not sitting in a chat backup. Links are unguessable, tied to that patient, and can be set to expire. For labs that prefer it, sending the PDF directly is also available.
What if the patient gave a wrong number?
Failed deliveries appear in the delivery report with the reason, so you can correct the number and resend without regenerating the report. Nothing fails silently.
